100 reasons to ship Hotch/Prentiss

1. Because Paget said on a Criminal Minds chat that she thought Prentiss could make out with Hotch.
2. Because of the way she looked at him when he took the UnSub down in 5x06. And he smiled back at her.
3. Because he knows the gestures she makes when something’s wrong. She knows his gestures too.
4. Because he was the one who decided to fake her death in order to save her life.
5. Because they have been assumed by many as rivals, but they’ve actually been there for each other as much as anyone (maybe even more than anyone)
6. Because of the way they danced when she was about to leave.
7. Because she senses when he has problems with Jack.
8. Because they both look great with suit.
9. Because they DO wear matching outfits.
10. Because in season 5 she picked him up and then took him home even when she knew she didn’t have to do it (and she left him inside his apartment…).
11. Because (obviously) their chemistry is undeniable.
12. Because they have the same hair colour.
13. Because nobody moves as synchronous and looks as good as they do when they are wearing their cool bullet proof vests.
14. Because in Demonology even when he’s trying to reprimand her, he can’t bring himself to be truly harsh.
15. Because she felt something bad had happened to him before anyone else (and asked like 10 times for him).
16. Because she loves chocolate and he gave her brownies.
17. Because she stayed with him at the hospital until he woke up.
18. Because they can both kick down doors without losing their elegance.
19. Because she was the first person he saw when he woke up (her smile was the first thing he saw).
20. Because he remembered her and her family when she introduced herself to him.
21. Because they’d make really cute babies.
22. Because she can count on him every time she has a bad day.
23. Because he brought JJ back just to get information to save her.
24. Because he promised Clyde Easter he’d destroy him if something bad happened to her.
25. Because he got really upset and when Cyrus was hitting her, he couldn’t even listen to it.
26. Because he wanted to enter Cyrus’ ranch immediately in order to save her (even when he’s always been really rational and calmed and this time Rossi had to stop him).
27. Because he wanted her on that plane with him!
28. Because she preferred quitting her job than teaming up with Strauss and get him fired.
29. Because he went to her apartment to get her back on the team.
30. Because she didn’t want to leave him alone at Hailey’s funeral. She wanted them to send another team to do the job.
31. Because he interceded for her before Gideon and made him gave her a chance to show what she had, and she smiled at him because of that.
32. Because he looked at her through the picture window at his office to check if she was okay.
33. Because of the way Paget was looking at him while they were shooting the scene after Hotch’s SUV blew up “like Emily was in love with him”.
34. Because after that happened Paget said they batted their eyelashes at each other everyday.
35. Because of the awesome pictures with the two of them Thomas used to post on his Twitter account.
36. Because the conversation they’d have the day after JJ and Will’s wedding “it’s a date”.
37. Because the writers said their final scene in S7 was a present to their shippers.
38. Because we, the fans, can give them the happy ending they deserved.
39. Because she turned to him for help when her friend died.
40. Because she ran to him when his ear was hurting and asked if she could do something for him (she even touched his elbow).
41. Because they’re together in most of the pictures showed in the book “Criminal Minds: Sociopaths, Serial Killers and Other Deviants” by Jeff Mariotte.
42. Because he jokes when she’s the only one around, showing her his sense of humor, and asking her not to tell anyone, showing they find it easy to open up to each other.
43. Because Emily makes his rare dimples appear in a smile.
44. Because she’s not afraid to challenge him and he listens to her when she does.
45. Because she called him to ask how he is doing after Hailey’s death (I read this somewhere but it seems the scene didn’t even make it to the DVD deleted scenes, which was wrong).
46. Because he has a kid and she wanted to “adopt” a girl and is excellent with kids.
47. Because they look great together.
48. Because of the picture of him smiling she has as his caller ID picture on her cellphone.
49. Because he believed in her even when he didn’t pick her himself to join the team and had little knowledge of her profiling skills.
50. Because they have been in each other’s places… alone.
51. Because they have both great minds and are really gorgeous people!
52. Because he never judged her for her actions (“Lauren” is the perfect example for this).
53. Because he defended her when the team is mad because they didn’t know she was alive.
54. Because they team up a lot.
55. Because of how worried he looked when Penelope told him she had been able to locate everybody except Emily.
56. Because she didn’t leave any stone unturned to find him (S5)… he didn’t either (S6).
57. Because we know he secretly loves her ‘cause Beth is brunette (just like Emily) and not blonde like Hailey.
58. Because their “Good cop / Bad cop” routine is the best!
59. Because they understand each other without having to talk.
60. Because he doesn’t like the fact that she has dated worst guys than Viper in the past.
61. Because they both look awesome with sunglasses.
62. Because of the way she defended him when Strauss tried to blame him for killing Foyet. She was really upset that day.
63. Because HE stares at HER all the time and sometimes she’s not even close to him.
64. Because SHE stares at HIM when he isn’t watching.
65. Because she jokes with him and he doesn’t get mad or makes a face.
66. Because of the way she looked at Beth when he was talking to her after the marathon (she was jealous people, the others were amused).
67. Because they are together in most of the promotional pics.
68. Because they always sat together on the plane and at the round table or any other table around the country.
69. Because there are more Hotch/Prentiss fics at FF than any other combination which involves one of these two characters.
70. Because he trusts her judgement and follows her advices (Todd and Seaver cases, for example).
71. Because of the sultry looks they can give each other without others actually knowing what they are doing, except Rossi.
72. Because they worry about each other’s well being.
73. Because even when they are both fighters they’re really sweet on the inside.
74. Because even when they never got together on the show, Hotch/Prentiss fandom is the best, we have kept the shipper alive without her even being on the show. This ship exists through the fans.
75. Because even the UnSubs can see their chemistry: “Must be distracting… working with someone so beautiful” (Outfoxed 5x08).
76. Because in Retaliation 5x11, even when he was worried about her he felt proud when JJ told him she was already arguing with the doctors (he even smiled!).
77. Because she went to his place and knew nothing fell out of place (which means she’d been there before).
78. Because he knows her parents.
79. Because they have many things in common… they both love the name Sergio.
80. Because with them all the love songs make sense.
81. Because even when he agrees with her most of the time he also tries to protect her while doing the job.

83. Because she runs after him when she knows something is bothering him and he’s upset.
84. Because he bought her flowers while talking to a victim in S4.
85. Because Hotch/Prentiss fandom is the most creative fandom ever.
86. Because they would do anything to protect the family (the team).
87. Because they complement each other: she’s right handed / he’s left handed, she’s stubborn / he’s more centered, she’s more impulsive / he’s more rational… and we know opposites attract.
88. Because both of them have been hurt in many ways during their lives but they stay strong and fighting.

90. Because they’ve both got smoldering stares which are extremely HOT when aimed at each other.
91. Because their chemistry is real, not forced like certain other forced couple…
92. Because she’s Libra (we know she was born on October, 12th) and he’s Scorpio (he was born on November, 2nd) and these two “can make a very loyal, close and satisfying partnership”. (Source: astrology.com).

94. Because when she first joined the team in 2x09 her first words were to Hotch.
95. Because Paget and Thomas have an amazing onscreen chemistry.
96. Because of the way he looks at her right before leaving her in the room with the Senator in “It takes a Village”.
97. Because every time they talk to a child together, they look like a family (for example, Distress 2x17).
98. Because in “52 Pickup” he didn’t have to go to the lockers room to talk to her, he could’ve done it outside before or after she’d changed her clothes. He loves her people!
99. Because she was the first to ask about the divorce papers and was very concerned about him.
100. Because they immediately assumed the “mom and dad” role when JJ was in labour (without mentioning they were having coffee together… alone
